What Do We Do?
We provide comprehensive eyecare for the entire family from the very young to the "not so young".
Our services include eye examinations for eye health and spectacles (glasses). On many occasions the eye examination has led to the patients first time diagnosis of high blood pressure, diabetes, multiple sclerosis, arthritis or neurological disorders. We treat patients with common eye infections such as "pink eye", dry eye, allergies, inflammation and more. We evaluate for cataracts, glaucoma and macular degeneration which are three common eye conditions. In addition, Dr. Mason evaluates how well the eyes work together (binocularity) and what can be done to reduce the eyestrain related school, work and computers. Children's examinations are tailored for their age and Dr. Mason is excellent at interacting with the younger children and consulting with their parents.
We provide Contact Lens evaluations and fittings for new and previous contact wearers. We also fit specialty lenses as bifocal, toric and multifocal contact lenses. Many of our contact lens patients are Jr./ Sr. High students actively involved in sports, as well as adults with special needs for work , hobby or sport.
We co-manage patients that require Laser Surgery (Lasik, Lasek, PRK) , Cataract or Implantable Contact Lenses (ICL) with ophthalmic surgeons. Dr. Mason provides the preoperative care and post operative care and has an excellent working relationship with the surgeons. Whether we are caring for children, teenagers, young adults and the older adults our goal is simply to provide for the total eyecare needs of our patients.
In addition to professional services, our office has an excellent and well stocked selection of fashionable frames you would be proud to wear. We pride ourselves in taking the time needed to help you determine what lenses are best suited for your needs, whether it be for driving, reading, computer , sports or hobby. Our experienced staff can help you with all the decisions about what options are available for glasses such as reflection coatings, scratch coatings, Hi-Index lenses, treatments and so much more. You can also rest assured that they have your best interest at heart because no staff member receives commissions. They are all professional staff on salary and Dr. Mason wants to make sure they recommend what is in your best interest not theirs.
